About Home Missions
Planting the Gospel
Who We Are
Planting Free, Living and Lutheran congregations.
The Home Missions Department serves as the church planting ministry of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations.
The AFLC family consists of about 270 congregations within the United States, as well as congregations in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, India and Uganda. Our fellowship is rooted in the 16th century Reformation, and shaped by revivals that swept across Scandinavia, and into America.
Our structure is simple. Each congregation is autonomous, joyfully submitting to God’s Word and Spirit, yet joined together to multiply our efforts. We link arms and work together to operate a Bible College and Seminary, send and support missionaries around the world, equip our youth at regional and national conferences, and plant churches together.
